The Statewide Advocacy Committee exists to represent the Chapter on matters of State and local legislation that affects the green building industry and ultimately the USGBC-GA Chapter's mission. The committee provides a consistent and informed voice for pending legislation and communicates such matters to Chapter members through regular communications.

Recently, the Statewide Advocacy Committee has joined the American Institute of Architects (AIA Atlanta), Georgia Solar Energy Association (GSEA), Georgia Conservancy, and Southeastern Energy Alliance (SEE Alliance) to mutually support our advocacy missions and goals.

In addition to these organizations, the Committee serves as an outreach arm to other green building and sustainability industries and local or statewide organizations who seek to do the same.
