The Athens Branch Branch of USGBC-Georgia was formed as a natural growth from the Emerging Green Builders (now Emerging Green Professionals) Committee that has resided at the University of Georgia for the past six years.
A diverse group of people interested in learning more about green building and sustainable design, all members of the Athens community are welcome to join our local Green Scene, attend our meetings and training seminars or other Branch events. We do encourage you to seek membership with USGBC-GA to ensure you are notified of discounts, opportunities and can take full advantage of membership benefits.
Our meetings provide a great opportunity for networking and fun. Our usual mix consists of architects, students, contractors, engineers, property owners, those in "green" professions and many others. The Branch Leadership Group (BLG) consists of USGBC-GA members who are leaders in sustainability in the Athens area.
