USGBC Georgia Chapter
The U.S. Green Building Council Georgia State Chapter was formed in January 2009 when the Atlanta and Savannah Chapters merged together. The State Chapter was formed to advance and promote sustainable and environmentally responsible planning, design, construction and operation of the State’s buildings, landscapes, cities and communities.

The purpose of the Georgia State Chapter is to:

  • Provide regularly scheduled opportunities for members to exchange information with other persons having similar interests;
  • Raise awareness of Green Building principles and practices among the design, construction and real estate communities as well as the general public;
  • Provide forums for the exchange of ideas;
  • Form partnerships with other local building-related and environmental organizations; and
  • Promote membership in the U S Green Building Council.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The Savannah and Atlanta Branches of the United States Green Building Council - Georgia Chapter are pleased to announce the call for nominations for candidacy to the Branch Leadership Groups of Atlanta and Savannah. For more information click here .

 

The Georgia State Chapter currently operates Branches in the defined Atlanta and Savannah territories outlined in the map below. We also have Organizing Groups in Augusta and Macon, and expect them to be fully-operating Branches by January 2010.  Each Branch Leadership Group reports to the State Chapter Board Members.
