LEED Green Associate Accreditation Exam Prep

The LEED Green Building Rating System is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings.  Becoming a LEED Green Associate demonstrates a basic knowledge of green design, construction, and building operations.  Eligibility requirements for candidates seeking the LEED Green Associate designation include one of the following:  completion of an education program addressing green building principles, work in a sustainable field, or experience on a LEED-registered project.

This full-day course offers an overview of the LEED framework and concepts of integrated design as well as policies and procedures for working within the LEED program.  Attendees will learn about the tools and resources available such as LEED Online as well as the applicable standards utilized in the LEED program.  Attendees will also gain an understanding of sustainable design strategies in the built environment including site management, water use, energy use, resource management, and indoor environmental quality.  This course will introduce attendees to the LEED Accredited Professional program areas:  Building Design & Construction (LEED AP BD+C), Interior Design & Construction (LEED AP ID+C), Operations & Maintenance (LEED AP O+M), Homes (LEED AP Homes), and Neighborhood Development (LEED AP ND).

Hands-on exercises facilitated in the session will reinforce concepts necessary for attendees to prepare for the LEED Green Associate exam.
