FHA PowerSaver Program to offer low-cost financing to credit-worthy borrowers

WASHINGTON – Eighteen national, regional and local lenders will participate in a new two-year pilot program that will offer qualified borrowers living in certain parts of the country low-cost loans to make energy-saving improvements to their homes. Backed by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), these new PowerSaver loans will offer homeowners up to $25,000 to make energy-efficient improvements of their choice, including the installation of insulation, duct sealing, replacement doors and windows, HVAC systems, water heaters, solar panels, and geothermal systems.

Lofts at Marbury Village is currently programmed as a 58-unit development in 3 and one half stories with pull under and on site secure parking. It has the potential to be the first LEED for Homes project in the city and not only will it be green it will be walkable. Our Walkscore.com ranking is 86 out of 100, showing our project is 'Very Walkable'.

The Young Architects Forum (YAF) of Atlanta is launching an iMPACT campaign to challenge designers to solve a simple problem, build the solution and make a lasting impact in their community. YAF and Camp Twin Lakes are pleased to announce a design /build challenge for two structures to house Eco Smart composting toilet systems at Camp Twin Lakes (CTL). This will kick off with an ideas competition, design refinement with CTL and conclude in the building of the design at Camp Twin Lakes at Will A Way at Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, GA.
