Description:

Located in the Atlantic Station development, 271 17th Street is a 540,000 sf commercial office building developed by AIG Global Real Estate with program management assistance from Carter and architecture and interior design by tvsdesign.

The project features 20 stories of Class A office space atop three levels of parking above the street and lobby with an additional three levels of parking integrated into the Atlantic Station deck below street level.

Atlantic Station is an award winning brownfield redevelopment in the heart of Atlanta, master planned by tvsdesign in the late 1990's. In addition to environmental remediation required for the development, the 271 17th Street project features high performance curtainwall and glazing systems and low energy use exterior lighting systems. Energy efficiency is also enhanced by connection to a district chilled water system which provides an economy of scale in cooling projects throughout the development.

Inside the building, interior finishes were selected to provide a high-end look, and feature stainless steel and woven metal fabrications with high recycled content.

The project was constructed by Brasfield & Gorrie in 24 months and opened in June 2009.
